I am currently working for ROBIN WOOD,
a German NGO that promotes sustainable forestry, environmental protection and social justice.
Through non-violent activism and campaigns we inspire and empower individuals and communities to fight for a fairer, more sustainable world.
My job is to oversee and manage the IT infrastructure as well as providing first to third level support.
I am and was managing infrastructure and developing software for Fridays for Future and a lot of other activist collectives.
This includes Server Administration, Web- and App-Development and giving workshops on topics like digital self-determination and basics of IT Security,
as well as providing support to various entities and doing hardware repairs.
It also includes climbing very high to install solar panels for camps or forest occupations, or setting up radio relay routes to bring internet connectivity to those places.
I used to squat forests but nowadays act rather ‘in the background’ due to health issues.
I am currently working as a software developer at example org. in San Francisco, CA. I am currently working on a project that will be used to help people find the best way to get around the city.
